Great masters of the force, gurus upon their mountain tops, will all tell you that the force is two fold. They will tell you that there is darkness and there is light. Start them talking and they will explain to you the relationships of energy and information, they will twist science and mystical babble to explain away the inexplicable.
Energy and information, light and dark, evil and goodness; are all dual concepts created by a mind that knows it will one day cease to function. They are shackles to help you from seeing the true lack of explanation to it all, to help delude you into thinking there is more to the universe then what you see… but there are no answers. There is nothing beyond what you see and what you can sense with your physical being.
The point of the force, as a construct of finite description, is to allow a mind of definite ends to accomplish tasks that would seem beyond the understanding of physics or science. It exists so that, from the earliest points of memory, a mind can be conditioned to accept what it would normally rationalize as irrational. True; the teachings that are embedded with the ‘force’ can be adapted to include more developed psyche’s but this is simply a fail safe built into the system which is the by-product of creating a mythology that can be explained to the uninitiated.
The force is a cleverly disguised misinterpretation of the ‘truth’ propagated by sentients who have very little idea what sort of religion they were creating. And while it may have been benign to begin with, a simple blending of beliefs to help bring peace to the galaxy, those who came after saw the original corruption of the idea and sought to use it to their advantage.
The idea of a single unifying ‘force’ has existed in this galaxy for thousands upon thousands of years. Any belief that exists for that long is bound to experience permutations of one degree or another; but the ‘force’ has somehow eluded change over the eons… only ever budging slightly in the face of blatant honesty.
The term ‘force’, as it is used to explain the paranormal, is tantamount to reason, simply another word to explain the same concept. But the brutal truth is; there is no reason. There is no force, there is only the universe.
Which brings into question the issue of how one can define or quantify the many aspect of ‘what is’. The constant breaking-down of any given issue into its most refined part is not only pointless, but utterly redundant, which brings into dispute the idea of a “good” and an “evil” side of the Is. When one struggles to define something in the simplest of measures, one quickly discovers the endless nature of the process. Like looking at a reflection of a reflection, the goal is fraught with futility.
The contention of these rambling and convoluted conclusions is that the struggle between good and evil is a pointless, not to mention hopeless, endeavor. When a student of the Is searches to distinguish his or herself in the pre-existing terms of the Jedi code, that student is doomed to discover their own limitations as abundant and beyond their own control. However; the intention of this manifesto is not to suggest that all force users take unmitigated steps to explore their darker side, but rather to suggest that a student of the Is understand that there is no difference between right and wrong, that both are simply self-inflicted states of being.
Upon first glance it may seem as if the direction of the dissertation is towards an inclination that declares there is no light nor dark side of the force. This is not the case, though it touches upon the more fundamental point of this idea. Instead, the intent of this paper is to pronounce; there is no force or any need for it.
Though you may cling with your last breath to the terminology that cripples your understanding until you final moments, this does not make the case true. Even beyond corporeal death, the aspect of the Is that defines you may continue on under the misguided belief that the force is the final and total solution. However, these manifestations of a ‘sprit self’ have been known to exist long before even the formative days of the force, which clearly indicates that even without accepting the force as proposed by Jedi and Sith, a being can indeed achieve some form of transcendence.
If any of the preceding text is true; then both Jedi and Sith are responsible for perpetuating a structured class system designed to keep the majority in ignorance of key freedoms while enabling an elite, select minority to manipulate these freedoms to their own best advantage.
At this point it is important to indicate that, personally, I do not feel that this violation is wrong, or that those who have created, continued and, cultured this idea should be persecuted for their ambitions. Indeed, I respect the tradition of excellence that I have seen to uphold this intangibility, but I now feel that it is time to say something on the matter to an open and uninformed public.
