Hmm...I think I figured out the basics but I got a random question.

Can your character be in two different places at the same time (like...in two threads in the Battlegrounds at the same time) or is that frowned upon? I know the rules vary from site to site...

Yes, but no.

You have to be clever about it. And make sure no one exploits your exploitation of the diverse timeline we have here. Get my drift?

It's like cheating on your taxes; sure everyone does it, but when you get nailed by Uncle Sam, it's usually with a 6' wide wraught iron rod. If you get my drift.

Sorta...uhhh I'm nervous now about doing it, lol.

I want to be in more than one thread at a time...especially since I like to write a lot and not have to wait for people, lol...but now, I'm not so sure I want to do that. I don't wanna get in trouble, haha.

You can be involved with multiple threads concurrently with a single character as long as they do not coincide with one another. If you're nervous about it; don't do it.

Unless you have some wierd ability to split your character in twine. This is why many of us control multiple characters, or approach those character from multiple aspects.

Well for example, in my first thread with Joren, I'm setting up Section 8 on the planet Glee Anselm. I was talking to Julius and we wanted to do something on Nam Chronios...can I RP that in a way so I already have Section 8 set up and running? Just pretend that Nam takes place at a later date? Is this feasible?

Yes, for the most part. The biggest trouble is, when writing two collaborative RPs at once, you don't know what the other person will write.

So if you have RP1 and RP2, the references to the past you make in RP2 might not make sense depending on what others say in RP1.

Catch my drift?

Now, if its strictly a character development piece, you can do it. But when you start involving other people and galactic events, then it's easier just to write one story at a time.

You can still write other stories, just do so in Word and post them later on.

Questions are good; it means you're making the effort.

Ehhh I'm just adverse to screwing up, especially since I'm new. But, I think I'm getting the hang of things...so hopefully I can start RPing with some of you soon. :P
