What's a zune??

Microsoft Zune is an MP3/Video/Picture holder. Aka an MP3 player. I have one, it's pretty nice. But Microsoft has work to do as far as resources go.

Basically Microsoft wants to beat the iPod, unfortunately they gave Apple a 5 year headstart to gain market share, and didn't come up with any dramatically new innovations or features or hell even a slightly original design. As such it appears to the average consumer to be little more than an iPod rip-off but not at a substantially reduced price therefore nobody buys it because iPod already has name recognition, market share and as Delvin mentioned a number of resources that Microsoft doesn't have. In other words, it's possibly the worst business idea in recent history and a colossal waste of money. In my opinion Microsoft is only putting out the Zune so they have the appearance of competing with Apple in the MP3 player market, not that they actually are.
