Firefox 2.0


Does anyone know of a bug which prevents you from being able to bookmark websites?

The option comes up but whenever I click 'OK' nothing happens, its like the request is ignored, and I have no option but to cancel the entire thing.

Its really annoying me now.

Is there some weird setting that may have been triggered perhaps? I'm looking but I cannot find.


Just wondered if anyone had encountered this problem before.

A while back my previous version went a bit nuts, I had the same problem and a few more. So I removed and uninstalled everything (Moz 1.5) and installed a newer updated version (Moz 2.0) from scratch, yet I am still having the same problem.

Weird no?

I had so many issues after Mozilla's last upgrade that I decided to switch to Opera.

I had similar issues with the bookmarking deal with mine. I just kept at it, till it finally would accept my request to save the page.

I don't bookmark anything. I rely heavily on google.

My FireFox bookmark bar is life... ever so convenient. :)

Seth - are you on OSX or Windows? If you're using an Apple, try throwing out your preferences: Library > Application Support > Firefox. If you're on a PC, try throwing it out and buying an Apple.

Get Opera.
