Crew: 8536
Shield Rating:
Hull Rating:
Speed: 18 MGLT
Weapons
50 Double Heavy Turbolaser Cannons
50 Heavy Turbolaser Cannons
10 Ion Cannons
20 Concussion Missile Launchers
4 Tractor Beam Projectors
Fighter Capacity: Two squadrons
Other Onboard Craft:
4 Shuttles
2 Landing Barges
(Please note that this is the swarm Equivilent of the Aegis 2. The shield and hull ratings have been left blank as I dont have them off hand, but if anyone does, they can kindly tell me them, or fill them in themselves.)
Background: Assessments of recent swarm battle data indicated that the frontline battlefleet was seriously laking in vital firepower needed to take on the more ferocious of enemies that are being encountered at an exponential rate. The ancestral, while versatile and durable, did not come equipped with the necessary punch for combat duties as a frontline craft.
Therefore, with recent analysis of traded and captured vessels, swarm scientists where able to rework the existing Aegis design for thier own uses. Admittadly a rushed refit, the newly christened Pulsar-Class seeks to fill that gap in the navy that the Ancestral could not, and Gunship squadrons never hoped to fill.
