Healer Solution
Healer Solution is a major breakthrough in life saving technology since the introduction of Bacta. It could be said that this Solution is the evolution of Bacta in which actual living bacteria is replaced by even smaller and much smarter nanobots.

These nanobots are lab manufactured by nano-assemblers. These assemblers are much like the bots, but their only function is to take organic molecules and assemble them into working nanobots. They can conduct this task as long as the molecules are supplied, which means that there could be an uninterupted production cycle of this Healer Solution.

Unlike Bacta, these bots can be manufactured anywhere and in large quanities fairly quickly. They do not need the stable habitable of a single planet and therefore their production could be uninterupted and moved to any planet desired. A ship could even be equipt with these facilities and manucture its own supply on a need to use basis, such as a war zone or crisis situation. The fairly low priced, compared with Bacta, will also allow hospitals on many fringe worlds to have the fund to purchase it and use it to help countless patients survive.

Like Bacta, Healer Solution can cure a patient of almost anything that ails them and repair their body from inside and out. The nanobots are constructed from inert matierals and therefore are not reactive inside the body, allowing them to freely move inside a patience without fear of rejection. This can not be said for bacta as some people are allergic to it and can not be treated.

The Solution has different ways to be administered, but the most effective is in an emersion bath like Bacta. This bath solution could contain all the necessary molecules needed for the nanobots to do their job and would also carry within it the bots energy source, ATP. Growth factors are also added to this solution base in order to promote rapid cell growth and division.

To this solution bath nanobots are added. They are kept in sealed packed in a nonactive form until they are ready for use. Once the bots are activated and start to do their job they start to degrade slowly. Within days they completely disintegrate into their molecular components and become useless. While active, however, the bots work quickly to fix and help regenerate damaged tissue. They carry medication and growth factors directly to damaged sites and speed up repair by concentrating on the tissue that needs repair and leaving the rest alone.

These nanobots use the body's own or provided molecules to assembly proteins, fats, or and carbohydrates in order to build or repair cells within the give body. These protein compounds are also used to clot external or internal wounds and form a quick scar tissue over the area for the purpose of giving the body time to heal those areas. Some of these nanobots have the mission of moving through the body and seeking out internal stem cells either in the nasal rood or brain ventricles and transporting these undifferantiated cells to areas in which they could develop and divide into the necessary cells. For example these cells could be transported into the spine and be induced to transform into nerve cells that would replace damaged ones.

The nanobots can cure anything from organ failures to broken bones to blindness and can do it in a shorter time then Bacta. What would have taken days to heal inside a Bacta tank could take hours within the Healer Solution. The nanobots even keep working after the patient is removed from the tank and allowed to rest. The bots will continue to circulate within the patient and help finish up repair or fight off any infections that might occur do to the patients weakened state. They are also capable of producing slight radio signals and could therefore inform the medical staff of their progress and of the patient's status.

Another delivery technique is similar to the bacta patch except the patch contains a little starting solution which activates the bots as soon as the cover is removed. When placed upon the skin of a patient these tiny nanobots can quickly move through the skin and into the patients body to form fast clots and start cell repair within moments. They use molecules within the patient to patch up internal organs or damaged membranes and help prevent further damage. They also act like super red blood cells if they detect a lowered count as a result of blood loss. The bots are capable of carrying many times the amount of oxygen as red blood cells and can quickly deliver it to necessary areas. In addition to this, the bots are capable of using the wastes created by living body cells in order to construct new compounds by disassembling the other molecule chains and forming newer ones.

Another way to deliver these bots is more painful, but more effective. It is has been named bio-foam and is basically a substance that is injected inside the patient. This is usually used in the case of large gaping wounds either in the torso or larger appendages. The person or medical person simply insert the tip of the injector into the person's wound and push down on the button. This injects the solution into the person and upon entering the body the substance instantly turns into a foam like mess. This floam instantly blocks blood flow to the efficated areas, in turn saving the person from blood loss. It also plugs the hole that caused the wound.

This foam is full of healing agents, which in millions of nanobots and imediatly start to move through the damaged tissue and repair it. The foam contains growth factors as well as pain killers and anti-infection agents. Once injected with this foam a soldier or other person will have enough energy and be free from further damage to the area for around three hours allowing them time to get to a medical facility or keep on fighting.

If the wound isn't too sever the three hours might be enough for the nanobots to patch the area up, but if not it would start to bleed again as soon as the foam disintegrates. At this time the person would either have to be taken to a medical facility, patched up manually, or could be injected with foam again and hold out three more hours.
