Description: Equipped with modern armament the Hawkeye Can stand toe to toe against modern battlecruiser. With advanced defensive systems and countermeasures the hawkeye can Stay in the fight longer than most ships of her class. Moderately armed she can Hold the line against ships with far superior armament thanks to the state of the art shielding and armor Installed by Stellar enterprises.
Power - Equipped with two Hypermatter Annihilation Reactors the Hawkeye can produce the power need to run all systems at one hundred percent while absorbing massive punishment on its shielding. The twin cores are positioned just aft of midship where power can be distributed evenly and without any gain loss due to cable bleed.
Speed - At full speed the Hawkye becomes a uncontrollable missile. Her thrusters lack the power to turn the bulk of the Ship. Normal controllable cruising speed is limited to no more that twelve MGLT. At the full rated sixteen MGLT the ships maneuvering becomes slow and dangerous. Atmospheric speed is limited to 975 km/h.
Armor - The Hawkeye is equipped with Stat of the art Stellar Carbon Matrix Armor. Each Layer of Armor has Been equipped with a cellulose dampener which acts as a shock absorber against incoming projectiles. This assist the armor in defeating projectile attacks and
Shielding - Serridge SEAL shielding system. Hawkeye is equipped with 50 Delphus JC-671 projectors which equally distribute the shields over the ship. With overlapping fields and redundant projectors nearly half the projectors can fail before the shielding sees a noticeable loss in shielding.
Control - In addition to the standard Fabritech ANs 9.5w Sensor system and hyperwave Communications and scanning Module, tactical Information is handled by four Stellar Enterprises SAS-91 NVAS systems. All data is processed by standard systems the checked against the same data on the NVAS. This data is delivered fast and without failure to the operator. All fire control as well as survey data is channeled into the Plat Dormma targeting computer which then routes the information into the massive quad core of the ships brain. One of twelve CIC stations can access any of this data at any time.
Weapons - Built more towards Defense than offense the Hawkeye boasts a wide range of short ranged anti-fighter/anti projectile weapons. She depends on her eight main batteries for most offensive work while using the remainder of her medium and light Turbolasers to hold off frigates and gunships which may attempt to close on the hawkeye. With an assortment of Point Defense Lasers Cannons, All Purpose Mass Driver Cannons, and the Stellar engineered VLS-30 the short ranged capabilities of the Hawkeye are second to none. Though the APMDC's and the VLS_30's can act in an offensive roll they are seldom used this way. Meant as a command vessel the Hawkeye works from a distance in most battles controlling the fleet and assessing the tactical situation.
