Cree'Ar R&D: The Clawcraft
Cree'Ar Clawcraft Support Fighter, 11 meters
Armament: 1 Plasma Disruptor Cannon, 5 Energy Field Disruption Cannons
The first Cree'Ar vessel designed since their conquest in this galaxy began, the Cree'Ar Clawcraft is a tailor-made Cree'Ar fighter. Blink and you miss it fast, the vessel is built on the traditional shape of the Clawcraft Chissilian Tie variants, with the hooked wings forming a tight firing cone. A fifth wing, or tail, is bottom mounted for an additional weapon while sacrificing drag. The Cree'Ar Clawcraft is able to maintain the Clawcrafts speed, even with added size, hull integrity, and drag, because of the lack of a pilot, heavy missle systems, large ion engines, shields, or double cannons. The Clawcrafts primary weakness is in it's large profile; even at top speed, it's exponential size to the original Clawcraft makes it a much easier target to hit. Whether the hull enhancements will offset this will need to be tested in the field of battle.
Unfortunatly, the Clawcraft is insufficently protected for C-Velocity jumps. It must be carried inside a cruiser, if it wants to move between systems.
