Ja'Mha Rerodon Cruiser, Ador Upgrade, 255 meters

Armament: 45 Plasma Disruptor Cannons, 15 Energy Field Disruption Cannons
Carrier Capacity: None
Compliment: 20 Cree'Ar or Skey'g'aar

Designed shortly after the destruction of Ador, the first of a few upgrades upon the Ja'Mha Rerodon cruiser was the Ador Class Light, or often called, Shadow Cruiser. The vessel features some key modifications over the Ja'Mha Rerodon cruiser, a few of which were to be tested for a more wide scale upgrade.

The Ador Class is a niche class. It is designed for stealth missions and is given to rank members of both the Sanctum of Light and Sky, and the Shadowcaste. The crew is meant for a compliment of twenty, but in actuality can be run with an optimal compliment of five, and in emergency situations, one. Much of the function of the vessel is streamlined through an experimental command matrix... unfortunatly, that matrix is prone to failure, and thus manual control is still preferred.

The Ador Class vessels were outfitted with a gravitic cloak. It allows them to operate unseen and undetected. Unlike the Attack Cruisers which were the testbeds for the cloak, the Ador Class do mount a shield ship beacon, allowing the ship to be cloaked or shielded at interchangable periods.

The Ador Class is not an upgrade on the Ja'Mha Rerodon frame. Rather, a different ship with the same components. The wingspan of the ship has been cut down, as they have been tilted on their pylons in to create a more streamlined frame. The idea was to create a smaller profile, and it made the ship longer, but also made it more compact. This design was considered for other classes for it's ability to avoid innacurate weaponry.

It was, however, passed over. While the ship does maintain a smaller profile, it is denser, and also oblong, and actually created drag. The ship, even with upgraded engines, was not faster then the Ja'Mha Cruiser, and due to the drag, was actually less manueverable.

The ship does not hold any specific advantage over the Ja'Mha Rerodon cruiser. It does have more weapons and a cloak, but the offsets are enough to make the trade just about even. It is seen as something of a let down, considering it was named for the most important planet in the Dominion, but it is functional, and is created and put into service if only in a limited role.
