The ORB is based on a "component" design from the Ministry of Defense. This is but one in a series of such single function ORBs for insertion into various starships and stations that are to come. Starships R&D's with special recepticle designs are forthcoming.
Type I ORB is, in essence, a single shield engine/generator that will cast a spherical shield around a 20km radius in space and a dome-like shield on the ground.
Note: This is a defensive measure shield only. The shield stops weapons from both inside and outside.
(Note: As of now, it cannot be used until Starship R&D and Station Recepticles are approved)
