Description – The Aurora Class Drone Interceptor is the first foray into Starfighters that the Sojourn have made, deliberately made to operate in concert with the Blade Cruiser as its main defense against fighters while the Blade itself pounds away at larger ships. While for the moment it is meant to stay in its interceptor role, plans have been discussed to possible develop it into a modular fighter or to build on the design for different roles.

The aurora was built for speed and firepower, and while defense wasn't key or a priority when designing the craft it still has some shields and hull armor. It is very maneuverable and fast in battle able to sharper turns and maneuvers than most fighters of its size could ever hope to, and it then has the firepower to match. The Sojourn core inside means that the inhabiting sojourn is literally part of the ship giving them extreme amounts of control over the systems and controls of the interceptor.

Shields – The Aurora Class doesn’t have exceptionally powerful shields, only enough to rebound a few shots or something causing similar damage but its armor is about average for a fighter of its size. Its main defense is its high maneuverability and speed, like most interceptors.

Weapons – The Aurora focuses first on speed and second on weapons in its design. Its complement includes first 4 heavy blaseter cannons on the inside of the “wings”. Then near the back of the ship are 2 warhead launchers that can fire a few different missiles in battle.

SSII – The Synthetic Sojourn Integrated Intelligence is essentially a normal Sojourn Core unit wired directly into the fighter essentially becoming the fighter itself. This droid brain is full autonomous and can fight just as well as any other human pilot or better because of its reflexes and clear thinking. It continually communicates with the other SSIIs and their fighters in battle receiving additional information for a “coordinator” on the ship they’re deployed from.

When not needed, the sojourn intelligences that control and pilot the interceptors do have the option to take a normal body like any other on the ship. However most pilots choose to stay inside their fighters, here they stay in constant communication with others fighters and normal sojourn.
