Admiral Vernin Holt
Vernin Holt started his career in the Republic Navy in 28 BBY. A Senators son he was groomed from an early point in his life to fallow his mothers footsteps and become a politician and some day senator in the Republic. He learned the ways of the board room and the political tactics. As his training continued he did like most good Republic citizen looking to one day be the representative of his world he joined the Republic Navy. His training there had been as intense as any he received in training to be a senator but as he devoted himself to the core principles of the navy and more so as a republic citizen her found his mind drifting from politics to command and tactical gaming. He found he had a gift when it came to commanding a team and his training as a politician aided him as he moved up through the Republic command structure and slowly became first officer. It was then that the Clone wars broke out and his services to the republic shifted from training to one day be a senator to commanding men in battle. He was soon assigned as the executive officer aboard a Venator Star Destroyer where he served with distinction. Upon his commanders death in battle Holt took command and saved his ship and crew and returned the damaged vessel to Kuat. He himself suffering massive burns over most of his torso he spent the remainder of the clone wars in a navy hospital.
As the clone wars came to an end Chancellor Palpatine took power and upon his order the republic he had been so proud to serve did the unthinkable and killed the Jedi. Though word of this had been kept from many he had found out from his mom as she prepared to leave Coruscant and take shelter on Corellia. He had returned to command and was leaving the Kuat system when the order came to Intercept a ship bound for Alderaan. He was forced to fire on the ship destroying it and the four hundred souls aboard. It was then he decided to join his mother on Corellia. With the aide of a large portion of his crew he managed to fake a reactor core problem and request assistance from the Corellian yards. Here he docked his vessel and he and the men who assisted him disappeared into the crowds of Corellia.
He spent the next few years assisting his mother and others of like mind in assisting Jedi who were hiding from the Emperor and his assassins. He took command of a stolen Dreadnaght-class Heavy Cruiser on the order of General Jan Dodoona where he grew to respect the vessels for their durability. His ship served in many of the battles the fledgling rebel fleet fought up to the time of Operation Sky Hook. His ship damaged and left adrift in a battle with an Imperial Victory Destroyer in deep space found Holt back on Corellia and again at his mothers side. As her health diminished he stayed at her side as the rebels left for Yavin IV and for the attack to come on the Death Star. He rejoined the rebel fleet after his mothers death and was given command of Victory Star Destroyer which had been stolen from Bestine and served as its commander until its destruction just before the battle at Endor.
After Endor he served as a squadron commander and then as the rebel alliance became the New Republic he was promoted to Admiral and given command of a battle group under Admiral Ackbar. It was then that he meet Admiral Reshmar. The two worked together on many projects and grew to trust each other. As the galaxy again and again turned and control of worlds changed he found himself once again a rebel. He had fallowed Admiral Reshmar along with his battle group and began fighting the Imperial Navy once again.
