Following Admiral Xander Griff’s betrayal by the Outer-Rim Federation he and then Black Hand Director, Marth Meer, retreated to CN-1344 bringing with them parts of the military as well as nearly the entire Black Hand apparatus. A Black Hand scouting patrol had discovered CN-1344 only a few months earlier and it had yet to be entered into the Federation’s database. It’s a small rocky planet hidden in a field of asteroids. Currently the planet is used as one of the main construction facilities for the Coalition and the asteroids surrounding it have been mined of most of their valuable materials. It is also used as a location where secret projects are undertaken and along with CN-1653 is the base of the ultra-secret Phantom Legion. Very few people now the actual location of CN-1344 or CN-1653. While there existence is not a very-well kept secret nor is the general area of space that still leaves an enemy with billions of kilometres of space to search most of which has never been charted by anybody except ORS or GC.
