For those who haven't yet seen it, here is the new trailer.

Thoughts?

And yes, this should have gone in the Cafe. Realized that after I posted.

Finally. That trailer alone was better than the prequels.

Thanks for posting that up Wes, that put a spring in my step for the rest of today.  ;)

If I start seeing sunspots by JJ Abrams damned lens flares he and I are going to share words.  that bridge scene was annoying.

Thoughts -

I got the impression from the trailer that Force Users/Jedi (or Force in general) are thought to have never existed??  Did anyone else get that impression? I thought that odd given the Jedi's prominence in Star Wars lore.

I am surprised that damaged TIE fighter did not explode before making it to the surface of the desert world.

That BB droid, if his head is floating above the body, how strong is the "magnetic?" field that keeps his head in place?  Can his little body generate enough power to keep the head close by even if sitting behind pilot in X-wing.  I thought I caught a glimpse of the droid in X-wing (so obviously).  I wondered what keeps his head on.  I imagined if a stormtrooper ran up and gave a good swift kick, that droid's head would go flying.

Ha! I got my tickets...I am hooked.

I will say the TIE Fighters have a much more polished look..very slick.  They actually have the look of being quick (despite looking flimsy) and maybe they are more durable than the original trilogy showed.

Well, now they are not in the past they can go all out technology-wise I guess, introduce lots of funky new gadgets.

The guy's lightsaber is quite nifty, though you might need some special gloves to handle it.

Guys, clearly Luke is being saved for Avengers 3 when the Reality Gem merges all Disney properties into one Metaverse, duh!

I'm trying not to get excited, but it's not working very well.
