Yes, the Talos worship angle. That did bother me as the Emperor who signed the treaty to save his skin did not, immediately thereafter begin a buildup to crush the elves and dissolve the treaty (made under duress I would imagine).

Kind of like an old TNO move. Kick the shit out of them and they will grovel only until they have rebuilt and hit back.

Still, the Talos angle put "everything is a religious war" on this stuff which was unsettling. I decided to ignore it and I went and did that favor for the Queen of Solitude (involving a Talos shrine). I figured I ran into any Imperials wanting to make an issue of it, I would settle it then. Of course, I was hoping to marry the Queen making myself defacto High King of Skyrim (when you dream, dream big)... but alas, it was not to be.

Hrm...

I am unsure, I loathe the Aldmeri Dominion, especially the Thalmor...

I took great pleasure in getting rid of the guy at Winterhold especially after he unleashed all that chaos, heh....

Which is ironic, since my character is a high elf, but I take a perverse pleasure in that, I am the rogue elf!

(something which btw was not planned, lol)

As a side note, I don't know if either of you have picked up on it, but the Elder Scrolls has some of the most fascinating and complex lore I've ever seen in a video game series, but what I really enjoy about it is that they don't shove it down your throats. You can play through each game without delving into the lore and still enjoy the hell out of them, everything you need to know about the world for whatever quest you're on, the characters will tell you. But if you actually start reading the books they leave lying around...man, that shit is dense.

If either of you have played Morrowind before, or even if you haven't, this article will probably blow your fucking mind. And this shit is the stuff that's relatively easy to comprehend compared to the more frustratingly obtuse aspects of Elder Scrolls lore.

Got some good news from Bethesda finally, Dragonborn DLC is coming out for PS3 'soon'

As for Hearthfire and Dawnguard, they are still working on them.

This makes me happy. :D

As for the lore, I never played the earlier games, but I was surprised at just reading what was available in Skyrim, that was part of what impressed me about it.
