About Sullust

To the best of my knowledge, I'm the only writer involved in the thread that's still around. I don't like to leave things unfinished, so I intend to conclude the thread myself, if no Imperial wishes to take responsibility for the forces present.

I understand there was some deal of trouble over certain aspects of the thread, and I'm not looking to stir up old issues, but I started the Sullust takeover, and I want to see it through.

The timeline got pretty absurdly out of hand, but it's my understanding that the surface of the planet is currently under the joint control of the Alliance forces present and the free Sullustan government.

I have no problem with the Imperial fleet present withdrawing, if no one wants to continue the battle.

If someone wants to fight it out, that's fine too. I've never been in this position before, but I assume it's okay for me to take responsibility for Reshmar and Bandor, since their writers are not present?

If no one responds, I'll pick up the thread with you as an Imperial.

I'm not terrified at all.

Honest.

Are you sure you wouldn't want to pull another fleet out of your ass before I post? :p

I'd say, "Pull two more, at least..."

But for the fact that this is Om we're talking about and...

... all your fleets are belong to Om.

For the record, I've been wanting to do that since the start of the thread (at the time, admittedly, just to give me some way of participating in the space battle), there were just a lot of delays between the original idea, and the finally getting an opportunity to make it happen.

And I don't think it's much of a fleet, really. One maybe-Star Destroyer equivalent and a few Liberator cruisers (basically heavy frigates). I wanted Reshmar to get to participate in the fight, but I didn't feel right sending him in with only two support ships left.

And you have no idea how badly I wanted to have Jarvis Ragnar and The Wandering Ones show up when Wes first entered the thread, but I just didn't feel right about that.

And Beff, if you want more fleets in the fight, hows about you sign on to that Alliance character of yours that hasn't seen any use in three years and bring them in?

I've skimmed through the thread. Did you want to finish the entire battle or just skim over the battle sequences into a ending phase? Depending on whether this thread is pre-,post-, or co-current Cataclysm, Vos could recieve an emergency recall order for any number of various reasons from Imperial Center.

It's after the fall of Coruscant, near the end of Cataclysm. During his writing on the fate of the Corellia System, Omnae commented on Sullust as being ongoing. So that's the general timeframe.

I don't really care if we fight it out or not, I just want to give the story a conclusion so I'll know where the Alliance stands "at present" in regards to Sullust.

It's kind of hard to plan for the future when you don't know the conclusion to the largest major conflict your group has been involved in to date.
