If you like noise, this album will do quite well. These sixteen songs (sixteen! yeah, that's well worth my ten bucks) comprise some of what I consider to be Trent's best work musically. The sounds are lush and full. He uses clipping, static, fuzz, overload in a really intricate weave. Lyrically this music is a lot more political than any of his previous work. There is very little self hate and revulsion here. The songs continue to sound programmed like all of Trent's work, but it's a lot less repetitious than before. You won't find introductions like that on Closer or Only, he starts vocalizing without ado.
Working on my third listen now. I'm impressed, I think it tops With Teeth on my list. We'll see after a few days.
