Been keeping track of the tropics latley. Anyone else who has been has noticed some activity in the Far East. Super Typhoon Nida has been downgraded to a regular Typhoon, and is expected to further weaken as it moves away from the Philippines. The other storm, O-whatever, has been upgraded to a Typhoon as it tracks towards the Philippines.
Tropical Cyclone 02B has hit land in the Indian Ocean, and is rapidly moving inland, and weakening at a moderate pace as it moves to the North East.
Meanwhile, back at home, a Special Tropical Disturbance Statement has been issued by the National Hurricane Center, for a disturbed area of weather over Honduras/Nicuragua that is moving to the north. I checked it out on radar, and it looks to have a pretty good rotational spin.
Will post up links in a few minutes.....
