My DSL modem fried in the storm last night. I don't know how. It fried in the wierdest possible place, and is hooked into a surge protector. But whatever happened, it's fried now. I'm only able to now post in school so don't expect me to be overly active :D

It may be hooked into a surge protector, but is your phone line run through one too?

That's the wierd thing. It didn't fry where the phone line comes in. It fried where the CAT5 plugs into it. It can still connect to the outside world, it just can't connect to my computer. That's why I said, I burned out in the wierdest spot in the wierdest way. The Modem still WORKS per-say, but it can't connect to my computer.

Stupid external modems and their oddities.

That is odd, well thats why they tell you not to be on your computer during a storm! I never listen to that anyways.

Just ignore Yossarin's excentricities for now. He's entitled to be, considering his... status.
