I read this book last night, and maybe it's because of the major character death, but I didn't really like the book that much. That being said, I'll just write down the spoilers below and leave it at that.






































Jacen Solo kills Mara Jade Skywalker and bestows upon himself the title of Darth Caedus. Lumiya sets up herself to take the fall, and is decapitated by Luke after a short but furious battle. Although thanks to Ben being a witness, Luke knows it wasn't Lumiya that killed Mara. Oh yeah, Ben assassinates Corellian head of state Dur Gejjen, and Jacen deposes Cal Omas in a coup detat to install himself and Cha Nathal as dual military head of states for the duration of conflict.

All that being said, I'm pissed off that they chose to kill off Mara rather than someone else. She was actually my favorite EU character.

This whole series is bad. Jacen just keep getting more and more Anakin-copy like, and having this ridiculous abilities. Oh and Luke viciously murders Lumiya? Retarded.

She was falling off a cliff when they were dueling. He reached out a hand, hauled her back up to safety, then beheaded her after she straightened up. So yeah, pretty brutal.

Just making sure the job gets finished. Those damn Jedi have a knack for surviving.

Good call imo. Just think what would have happened if Obi-Wan had the balls to de-head Ani. Or what <i>wouldn't</i> have happened.

Pretty much the entire NJO and afterwards are why I returned to TRF... you guys write much better stuff. :p

No kidding, Jacen travels through time in Betrayal. wtf.
