I wish Peter Jackson was not so busy, his would be pretty awesome I am sure. I really don't want Spielburg to do it after seeing Indy 4, he just doesn't have the right sense of how people like the dramatic sadness in Lord of the Rings and other Jackson films.

Video Games = pass.

Movies = pass.

Video Game Movies = fail.

Epic Video Game Movies = epic fail.

I thought they did pretty good with resident evil. Of course, history is against making video game movies. Dont know if Peter Jackson would be the right person for the job though. Maybe.

The best comic/video game movies tend to be those very short works of art produced not by Hollywood but rather by smaller, independent film makers working within a budget.

Not out to make a feature film, but an art film. An homage.

Batman: Dead End, for example.

The Halo 3 trailers are also decent examples.
