Anyone read any of the new Star Wars novels? Wondering if any of them are worth checking out or if I should just catch up on all the other good ones I've missed over the past 10 years like Darth Plagueis, Outbound Flight, etc? I haven't read much of anything but the 90's classics (Thrawn trilogy, Han Solo adventures, Jedi Academy series, etc.).

I still haven't read the old ones, lol
Keep meaning to, and I will, eventually.
I am curious to see what they've come up with.

Sheesh... can't believe we've got no Star Wars novel readers around here.
Didn't see much positive about the "new canon" novels, so I had a go at the Revenge of the Sith novelization, Darth Plagueis, and Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. I think I'm going to pick up the Darth Bane trilogy next. Notice a theme?

lol... I have read a few of them but lately I haven't really been "wowed" by them. Not like the original Thrawn Trilogy. I remember bits of Darth Plaguesis being interesting. I stopped reading that last Luke Skywalker series of him going around trying to find out why Darth Caedus came to be (or something like that). I lost interest.
I will say that I liked the Triple Zero series by Drew Kap....(something or other). I think the last book in that series was 501st. But Lucasfilm screwed the author over so the series got dropped.

It was Karen Traviss. And yes, those series were excellent, before Lucasfilm basically decided to ignore everything she'd written for its cartoon stories. *grumbles*
I pretty much stopped after Fate of the Jedi too. That series was just...weird. Timothy Zahn has written a few new ones in the last few years that are worth picking up. Allegiance and Choices of One. Most of the prequel novels are decent, if you haven't read them.

Ahh.. Karen Traviss. Thanks, Wes! Drew was the Bane novels.
