You don't even need an account, you just need to stumble across one forum that grabs your interest and filter through it for some of the better content. I spent five hours reading "Playthroughs" of video games that I like just for the commentary and discussion.

So yeah, if you're supposed to be doing something (like I suspect maybe I was) then the forum is a bad idea.
